you should realy read the sticks

your question depends on where you bought it from. Gamestop (wich is where i bought mine at) dosent need anything, you just gotta go and pick it up.

That may not be good. I also pre-ordered from Best Buy. I handed them the money, they handed me a pre-order box and a receipt. I know that it's not in their computer under my name, because I paid cash. So I'm assuming I need the receipt in order to pick it up.

I'm guessing you need the receipt, but if you're lucky they might be able to look it up by your pre-order box bar code or something.

Default your in luck ;)

I work for geeksquad at bestbuy but they can look up purchases via the credit card you put it on if you paid for it in cash you are screwed, you can purchase the pre-order box from bestbuy and not pre-order the game so I hope you paid for it with a credit card so they can look it up otherwise your pretty much SOL,

I pre-ordered from their website and got them to let me go to the store to pick up the pre-order box while they mail me the game in a week so its pretty neat how they work with you , but you have to work with them lol

pretty much to sum this up

Cash = screwed
Credit card = your in luck

good luck to you

I think EB just entered your name in something and legitimate ID will be enough... don't really know anymore tho, but receipt wasn't necessary i think.

As stated, Best Buy needs a reciept if you paid in cash. The questions are, did you pay for it in cash and how much did you pay it off? If it's only a little bit, like $1 or so, I guess it's not too bad. Though, if it was like the full $50, you'll have to bite the bullet and pay for it again

you cant pay off a preorder at best buy. that is not how the system works.

the preorder is treated as a separate item in the database. you need to show proof of purchase of the preorder and they will deduct that price from the retail price. this is only allowed at the customer service desk, hence the reason why you are supposed to bring the retail item and your preorder receipt to the customer service desk whne you intend on purchasing it.

Default Went but no good

yea i went and i couldn't get them to enter anything into their computers and i couldn't get a new receipt cuz i paid in cash... AS for money i only bought the pre order.. didn't put anyu money towards the retail.. So im only losing 10 bucks.. Thats ok i got my 10 bucks worth in the BWE.. So im not mad at all.. Plus i got money from a lawsuit so i really dont have to worry about the money..
